Life is precious. Family photos play an important role in everyone's life - photos not only remind you of how you looked but how you felt in that moment and bring back forgotten memories on that special day. They connect us to our past and the present and having photographs brings the family together. Photos help us relive special moments and milestones. Children grow and evolve so quickly and documenting their happy authentic selves boosts their confidence and they become connected to their own story. Documenting family history becomes an important treasure in life and our photos tell us what is important to us.
What you have caught on camera is captured forever!
What To Expect
Before your photography session, I will be in contact 2-3 days before your session to answer any last minute questions. This will help me prepare for your unique photo shoot. If you've never had photos taken before - it's going to be waaaay easier and more fun than you probably expect !
Your family session will begin by spending a few minutes together to get to know you, this gives your family a chance to get used to the camera and allow me the opportunity to capture your family's personality.
I will capture your children as they naturally are, having fun and full of laughter in a relaxed atmosphere. We will have a whole lot of fun and get a variety of images to ensure we get the images that capture your family's story.
Feel free bring any items from home that will help tell your story and make your children feel comfortable.
1-2 weeks after your session, you will be able to view your private online gallery and start to choose your favourite images. We will arrange a time to go over products, from there we will begin to design a collection that meets your needs, providing you with gorgeous wall art to be treasured for a lifetime.
And that's essentially all there is to it !
What To Wear
The outfits you choose for your session are one of the most important factors in your photos. Not only do they play a huge role in the visual aspect of the photos, but whether or not your child feels comfortable has a huge effect on their mood and energy.
Below I have some suggestions for outfits, but the single most important tip I can give you is to ALWAYS place comfort at the top of your priority list. A comfortable child is a happy child :)
1) CHOOSE CLOTHING THAT YOUR CHILD LIKES TO WEAR
If you have a specific outfit or look in mind, get them wearing that outfit ahead of time so that they can get used to it.
2) COORDINATE COLOUR, BUT DON'T OVER MATCH
Earth tones, pastel or neutrals will have the best results on camera and give your photos a cohesive look without being "too matchy"
3) ADD LAYERS FOR MOVEMENT
A shawl, dress or loose jacket will accentuate movement in photos.
